Disregarding these rules will result in three strikes with a ban being implemented on the third. If you continue to break rules and make an ass of yourself you will be deleted.
RoleplayingThis forum is one account per person and the character limit is currently four. Depending on membership this may change!
Try to submit your first application within two weeks! Any accounts with zero posts after one month will be deleted.
Try to post at least once a week- once a month at a minimum. Activity checks will be held every three months. Unless you have a post in the "Away" board, you will be deleted if you fail to respond. Make sure your inbox isn't sending our emails to your Junk Folder!
Maintain order to roleplay threads. Example: if you're roleplaying with two other people and you posted last, wait for the other two to post first. The only time one should make an exception is if a fellow poster is inactive for one week with no explanation.
Liquid time is allowed. I understand that threads can die or participating members have real life things to deal with so they go inactive for a while. Just have fun!
Characters of any species can visit any region, but natives of that region must respond realistically (e.g. human civilians would react negatively to a cougar walking around town).
Please do not RP solo. As in don't talk to yourself in a thread- posting an open RP is fine! If you wanna look for someone to RP with, post in the Roleplay Chat board!
NPCs such as prey and other animals (dogs, coyotes, foxes, bears, wolves, and small household pets) along with humans are acceptable. Just make sure it makes sense for them to be where they are. Recurring NPCs are also okay so long as they remain nameless and one dimensional.
ContentThis is a literate roleplay forum. Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure are expected for all roleplay posts.
Please use third person, past tense.
All roleplay posts must be at least 100 characters. Try to match the post length of the people you're roleplaying with!
I'm not overly concerned about what exactly people roleplay about, but if your thread becomes graphically violent or sexual, please put a content warning in the thread title! R**e scenes will not be tolerated, nor will anything that *isn't* a hate crime, but *feels* like a hate crime. Briefly mentioning such events is okay if it's part of a character's backstory, but be mindful of how you describe them.
No Power-playing. This is when you take control of a scenario or another member's character without their permission. Example: character A lunges at character B, killing chracter B. You have to give character B the chance to defend, dodge, or take the hit.
No God-moding. This is when your character somehow becomes invulnerable to all damage. In a scenario involving bad weather or dangerous circumstances, your character should respond realistically. In a fight scene you can dodge a maximum of three times.
No "wolf speak". I don't know who needs to hear this but stop using words like fae, vixen, brute, stag, orbs, radars, satellites, canvas, and any other word that means something completely different than what you're trying to describe. It's tacky and everyone hates it. Unless it's part of a metaphor or something just don't do it.
Please refrain from adding a bunch of extra stuff to your posts. Banner images and a few line quotes/lyrics are acceptable but if your decorations occupy more space than your text, we have a problem.
Character RestrictionsThis is a feline roleplaying game set in northwestern America. You can play any number of domestic or feral cats, but all accounts are limited to one bobcat, Canadian lynx, or cougar. These are the only species allowed. No jaguars, tigers, lions, or leopards.
Please don't use Warrior names as this is not a Warrior Cats RPG. Also try to avoid using the same names as other members; while it's not outright banned, we don't need five different characters with the same name as it gets confusing and I expect *some* creativity.
I'll accept characters with "people problems" such as an oppressive society, sexual/gender identity, mental illness/disability etc. as long as you can provide a reasonable backstory/explanation.
No "mary sues". This is a character that's "perfect" in every way, loved by all, every flaw is somehow endearing, etc. All characters need to be balanced in their strengths and weaknesses and suffer repercussions for their "bad" traits.
Accessories are allowed to an extent- a cat that's been a stray its whole life shouldn't be wearing a collar, for example.
Unique markings are acceptable, but I draw the line at unrealistic colour patterns and other features (no pink fur, purple eyes, horns, wings, etc.)
No magic or superpowers!
